An Introduction from a new poker blogger

Hello Guys,

I'd just like to introduce myself and explain why I have started this blog. First things first, i'd like you all to know that I had never gambled one cent, until around 2 years ago! Then i joined a poker company and started playing poker for leisure. I've seen people win alot of money but I always thought it was luck and I only ever viewed poker as a leisure activity.

But now i know you can make a nice living from a beautiful and (sometimes) fun game. I started playing on paynorake.com, because they give good rakeback deals and pay it out daily. You can also track how much your raking daily, which is neat.

I deposited $20 and in 10 days turned it into $500 by playing well. Making good bets and folding when it was important to. Im no poker God but I know when im beat.

This brings me on to why I've started this blog. Its because i make stupid mistakes and I keep making them and I WANT TO STOP lol.....One fine example is today. I'd played well and in 30 mintues I was up $40.

I was playing on 15/25c tables and there was a small raise to 75c and I was big blind and called with a suited hand K9 of diamonds. There were 2 other betters. Jc2d9d came out. Wooooot, flush is on but player 1 raised to $2.50 and I called, now player 3 went all in with $40. Yes you got it, I called and that last blue diamond didnt come out. All my poker effort down the drain and back to square one. Oh player had pocket kings but lost on the river to trip jacks (ace high).

So, I've started this blog to record all my mistakes, under the watchful and mocking eye of all you poker stars:) I will alo jot down my playing hours and how much money i've lost or made. So cya tomorrow.

Started Playigng at Titan Poker

I started playing at Titan with a special bonus I got from someone's blog here. I'll give him credit laterz! Anyways you get $30 FREE and an extra $30 if you deposit a minimum of $20. How good is that :)

So, I had a two hour session on one 25/50 table and I won $65. Not without some scares I might add. Players are very tight and only play premium hands but when straights or flushs are about they still dont fold and I banged 2 players big time, using this tactic!

I was however down $25 within 10 minutes. Players where raising like crazy and i was folding KQ, KJ and so on. Then pocket Kings fell into my hands and my eyes nearly popped out of my belly. 1 player raised to $1.50 and I re-raised to $5. He called and the flop came out Q85. Fantastic flop, but wait Player bet $5. Hmmm he aint gonna steal me that easy, so I showed the strength of my hand and re-raised ALL IN. Player had hit trip 5's and my new relationship with titan was in tatters!

Being a new player, I'd love to know how you can tell if a player is in such a position without losing so much money. It happend to me again later with AA and guy hit trip 8's. Instead of being $65 up in 2 hours, I could be over $100 :/

Oh before I go, the player who beat me with trip 5's was given a taste of his own medicine when he raised to $2 with AQ, i called with a sneaky 75 suited and hit the flush on the turn, smashing his 2 pair AQ :P

Tomorrow I'm going to add some interesting poker deals I have found by searching the web! one of the deals pays out 100% rakeback. How is that possible you might ask, but your just going to have to wait till tomorrow to find out.

DAY 3

Day 3 of my blog and I’m really enjoying it! I woke up around 830pm an d powered on my computer, put the kettle and had a coffee. I got tempted to play some poker, after it all it is my day off.

I choose to play Titan today and I played on just one table and do some work at the same time. Boy talk about bad beat City. I’d lost nearly $100 in 1 hour. I felt like slamming my fist into the monitor but instead I knuckled down and 2.5 hours later I closed Titan Poker without having won or lost anything. 3.5 hours and no payday!

Players are tight on Titan and its fold, fold and more folds. I’m not playing Queen10’s or Jack9’s and I am folding the ace unless it’s accompanied by another Royal. Titan doesn’t seem as much fun as other rooms. You hardly see a flop and when you do your very unlikely to see the turn (unless your ALL IN). It’s very aggressive here and I don’t think it suits my play.

I next get on the tables at 8pm and I only have one hour to spare….Whoooopieee in that hour I make $60 with some great play and sprinkling of good old fashioned luck.

I’m off out now to watch the footie. My team lost and I head over to www.paynorake.com, a sight I love because it re-kindled my love for poker and because I’m also on a 55% rakeback deal. Takes the edge of bad beats J

I’m only going to play for 30 minutes and the table I join is full of action, crazy betting and ALL INS, this is gonna be fun. Hmmm, one player is annoying me because he is raising every single hand and that’s one of my pet hates. Guys raising with a J2 suited for pete’s sake. I have had enough of him and call his raise with a Q8. Queen hits the flop and I check, player raises to $5 and I move ALL IN (bad play). Guy folds but I have another caller, who has a KQ.. Damnnnnnn

I go and have a smoke to calm down and come back, put $50 on the table and im not leaving until I have won that stupid bet back. I don’t have to wait long, within 10 minutes the player who had a A10 bets $1.50 and re-raise him to $5 with a pair of POCKET ROCKETS (AA). Flop is 8, 10 A and I check, player raises to $5 and I re-raise to $15, player calls…..sweeeet. By the turn we are both in and when theres a showdon im $50 richer. I go on to make another $10 and now I’m off to bed having bed a $100 profit today and played badly on occasions.
